Sex Expo at Mexico- What if it happens in India?

In India the word Kamasutra is known to many, after all it`s an ancient Indian text. Morever, for a country touted to be world`s laregest by 2050 & growing at a rate of more than 2%, the artistic work of Vatsyayan is no secret after all.

But when it comes to talking about the human sexual behaviour, Indians tend to reserve themseleves and go into a shell, similar to how our cricket team performs against Australia after loosing early wickets. I ponder why is it so? Why does in a country, which calls itself the largest domocracy of world, people are still reticent and feel coy when in comes to talking about lovmaking. After all, we all do it, we wrote text on it, then why do we still hold ourselves to openly talk and legalise sex, porn and prostitution.

The recent sex expo at Mexico has opened up can of worms for a fresh debate- Should we prostitution in India?

So let`s see, here are some ideas, silly albeit ideas, which vindicate that why we should:

  1. Prostitution is LEGAL (with some restrictions that aren't that bad) in countries like Canada, most all of Europe including England, France, Wales, Denmark, etc., most of South America including most of Mexico (often in special zones), Brazil, Israel (Tel Aviv known as the brothel capital of the world), Australia, and many other countries. It is either legal or very tolerated in most all of Asia and even Iran has "temporary wives" which can be for only a few hours. Moreover, these countries (goverments) makes loads of money by legalising prostitution. In Mexico, prostitution/porn industry is 1 billions dollar, hence instead of investing money in preventing prostitution, goverment should legalise it and make it controlled, in the process make some mullah (which can be invested in livelihood to the families of commercial sex workers)

  2. 18000 women were raped in India in 2008, the figures doubled in 2012 (some of the cases are not even reported). The question is why do humans do such in humans acts? One reason could be that sex is a inborn requirement of every human being, and the abstinence from it weekens your minds ability to decipher right from wrong and you end up doing morally incorrect and repentful acts (this is though one of the reason). Legalising prostitution will not allow mushrooming for such escoteric thoughts and may be mitigate and solve the crime rate (rape in general ) in India.

  3. After South Africa and Nigeria, its India with the largest number of HIV/AIDS cases. One of the main reason being sexual intercouse without protection with an affected person. The prevalance rate of HIV is very high in commercial sex workers and truckers who tend to visit CSW when away from homes. Now, if prostitution is legalised and may be privatised, then proper health management of these workers and education of customers visiting prostitutes can be built in.

These are few of silly though ideas which makes me ponder why prostitution can`t be legalised in India. After all, big boss 5 became an overnight hit because of Sunny Ala Leone
